The most famous administrator performing these duties in 1516-1521 was Nicolaus Copernicus. To this day, on the wall of the cloister, there remained a unique souvenir after his stay - a hand-made experimental astronomical board, and in the Library's collection there is a medical incunable that he used. The astronomical plaque at the Olsztyn castle is the only astronomical instrument ever made and used by Nicolaus Copernicus.
