The Masurian Canal was to connect the Mamry lake through Łyna in the present-day Kaliningrad Oblast with the Baltic Sea. It is over 50 kilometers long, of which over 20 in Poland. It runs from Mamry through Leśniewo - Lake Rydzówka - Guja - Bajory Małe - Bajory Wielkie - Brzeźnica. Construction began in 1911, it was ceased in 1914, continued in 1934 and ceased in 1942.
